The 24th annual Realtors Care Blanket Drive runs from Nov. 13 to 20 in Abbotsford and throughout the Fraser Valley/Lower Mainland.
Participating real estate offices will serve as drop-off depots for new or used blankets, warm clothing, coats, sleeping bags, hats, gloves, scarves, and new socks and underwear.
Last year, approximately 70 bags of items were collected in Abbotsford.
Donations stay in the community in which they are collected or, if the volumes are too large, go to charities in neighbouring communities.

The drive is working this year with five Abbotsford organizations: 5 and 2 Ministries, the Salvation Army Centre of Hope, Cyrus Centre, the Warm Zone, and Raven’s Moon Resource Society.
In total, the Realtors Care Blanket Drive hopes to collect enough clothing to help more than 30,000 people stay warm this winter.
