Alpen Club holds dance in Abbotsford

The group holds several events throughout the year.

The Abbotsford Mission Alpen Club holds an anniversary dance on Saturday, April 6.

Doors open at 5 p.m. at the Abbotsford Arts Centre, 2329 Crescent Way. The event includes a meal and live music by the Al Pichler Band.

The club was founded in 1975, followed by a choir in 1982.

The group hosts several public events each year, including a dance in May, a summer picnic, Oktoberfest, a New Year's Eve dance, a big band dance, and a monthly coffee house.

The group, which currently has about 130 members, also takes several bus trips each year. Trips planned this year include La Conner, Leavenworth, the Rocky Mountain Tour, Seattle, and a paddle wheeler trip to Steveston.
