The annual Agrifair and Mighty Fraser Rodeo is well underway at Abbotsford Exhibition Park (32470 Haida Drive).

The event runs until Monday, with gates opening at 10 a.m. each day, and offers an assortment of displays, demonstrations and competitions for all ages.

With sunny weather expected for the next several days, the weekend is shaping up to be a perfect one for a fair.

An assortment of displays, demonstrations and competitions means there is something for all ages.

Entertainment for children includes animal shows, a KidZone area that features its own stage, a gym on wheels, a Lego section, paintball, rock climbing and roving entertainers.

The Mighty Fraser Rodeo features professional cowboys and cowgirls from across North America competing in events such as bull riding, barrel racing and bareback riding.

A food court offers an array of festival treats, while Chef Dez will put on a cooking show three times a day in the My Marketplace area located in the trade show building.

Agrifair’s main stage will feature local and regional talent. Grammy Award-winning Christian rock group Audio Adrenaline headlines at 9 p.m. on Sunday with openers Leanna Crawford at 7 p.m. and Mike Barton at 8:15.

Returning favourites include the Lord Strathcona Mounted Troop, ICW wrestling, and the Valley Voices singing competition.

Also as part of the event, Sevenoaks Shopping Centre (32900 South Fraser Way) hosts a pancake breakfast on Saturday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. by donation to the Salvation Army while quantities last. This takes place in the northwest parking lot.
