The Abbotsford Youth Commission (AYC) has launched a free multi-sport drop-in program for kids in Grades 7 and 8.The program runs every Friday at Eugene Reimer Middle School, 3433 Firhill Drive. AYC executive director Bev Olfert said it will allow boys and girls to participate in sports in a safe, supervised and fun environment. In addition, they will learn about the principles promoted by True Sport Canada such as playing fair, respecting others and staying healthy.Funding was provided by the Abbotsford Community Foundation and True Sport Canada. The Abbotsford school district is providing the gym space and Canadian Tire donated equipment.
