Abbotsford restaurant to give out free pizza slices to kids

‘To start the day off right’ on morning of Monday, April 9

An Abbotsford pizza restaurant is giving away free pizza to kids on the morning of Monday, April 9.

Pizza Garden, located at 2653 Trethewey St., offers free pizza slices from 7 to 10 a.m.

“We believe that breakfast leads to better days,” organizers say.

According to data from The Breakfast Club of Canada, one-fifth of Canadian children are at risk of starting the day on an empty stomach due to lack of access to food.

“Pizza Garden wants to ensure that kids grab a free pizza slice to start the day off right.”

Hot chocolate from Starbucks and drinks from Booster Juice will also be served.
