While the holiday season is a time of joy for most people, it's also a significant source of anxiety for many.
According to a recent Bank of Montreal survey, just thinking about the holidays and the cost of things like gifts and food is enough to cause financial anxiety in 55 per cent of Canadians.
That's why Abbey Road Taphouse is once again teaming up with TJ Gill and his family to offer the annual free Christmas lunch for those who might be alone or financially struggling this holiday season.
This is the 11th year that the restaurant and the Gill family have offered this service, which they do as a way to support the community during the season of giving.
Included in the event is a traditional hot turkey meal, with live music and other entertainment also offered.
This meal is free and doesn't require registration, with interested individuals able to just pop by Abbey Road Taphouse (1851 Sumas Way) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 25, Christmas Day.
