The Abbotsford Heat hockey team and the Honda Way recently presented KidSport Abbotsford with a cheque of just over $5,800.
The funds were raised through in-game Chuck-a-Puck promotions, which allow fans to throw foam pucks onto the ice, aiming at the centre for a prize.
KidSport provides financial assistance to cover registration fees and equipment for kids 18 and under who otherwise might not be able to play sports.
