A local group has been meeting to pull together and organize the history of the Abbotsford community of Bradner.
The group held its first meeting on Saturday, Jan. 4 in Bradner Church. They hope to gather a comprehensive history of Bradner and are currently discussing how to best gather stories and information and present the community's history.
As well as gathering history and pioneer stories, the committee hopes to bring in younger members who are willing and able to digitize much of the material that is available.
There are also plans to reach out to current sources of local history to coordinate what is available from community club records with what is already available to the public.
The next meeting will be Saturday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. in Bradner Presbyterian Church, 5275 Bradner Rd.
