Abbotsford's Green Fighter Nicole Bradley will be at Kin's Farm Market at South Fraser Way and Trethewey Street on Saturday, April 6, raising money for cancer research.

She will be there as part of the latest Green Fighter's challenge, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

With the help of Kin’s store staff, she will set up a booth to distribute Canadian Cancer Society literature on cancer prevention.

She will also be selling daffodil pins as a fundraiser for the society and distributing samples and balloons to the customers who visit the booth.

The contestant whose store sells the most pins during that entire day wins the challenge.

The 13-week contest kicked off March 1, and encourages competitors to adopt healthier lifestyles while raising money for cancer research.

"I knew I wanted to donate some of my time and volunteer at the (Canadian) Cancer Society because I had turned 22 and my dad had lost his arm to cancer when he was 22."

Bradley –  a dispatcher at Terralink Horticulture – also had a New Year's resolution to get healthy and be more involved in the community.

"It kind of fit into both of those goals."
