Abbotsford’s Nancy and Cory Kornicki were among more than 350 cyclists and volunteers at the BC Lung Association’s Bicycle Trek for Life and Breath over the weekend.

Held annually on the second weekend in September, the event attracts cyclists of all ages and fitness levels for a fully supported two-day, 200-kilometre ride from White Rock to Cultus Lake and back.

The event has raised more than $6 million in support of vital lung health research and programs over the past 30 years.

Originally founded by a small group of lung health advocates, the event has since grown to include hundreds of veteran trekkers for whom the event is a cherished yearly reunion.

For information on to become a part of next year’s trek, call the BC Lung Association toll-free at 1-800-665-5864 or email trek@bc.lung.ca.
