For Canadian Environment Week 2016, Regional Recycling is putting on a party June 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at its Abbotsford regional recycling bottle depot at 750 Riverside Rd.
The event will feature tours of the recycling depot, a free organic barbecue (for people who bring recyclable materials in for disposal) and activities for kids like face painting and crafts tables that include coloring, stickers, and decorating biodegradable coconut fiber pots to plant flowers.
All guests will get free small electronics recycling boxes.
Those who bring in recycling can also enter to win a bicycle.
