Abbotsford Agrifair has announced the hiring of Graham Vanstone as the new fair manager.

Agrifair president Bob Street said that with Vanstone’s 20 years of experience in the event industry, he brings a wealth of knowledge and natural abilities to the position.

Throughout his career, Vanstone has worked for, and with, many of the Fraser Valley’s premier events and facilities. He is not new to Agrifair either, having served in the past on the board and as a contractor and volunteer.

“We are so pleased that Graham has accepted the fair manager position, and we are confident that he will be a great asset to the organization,” Street said.

“Planning is underway now for this year. We will have some exciting announcements in the weeks and months ahead so please stay tuned.”

Vanstone said it is “truly an honour” to be at the helm of Agrifair.

“I am looking forward to giving the community a much-needed, thrilling experience at this year’s fair,” he said.

The 111th Abbotsford Agrifair takes place at Exhibition Park from July 30 to Aug. 1.
