Abbotsford 4H Beef Club starts new year

Club elects new executive, holds speeches

The Abbotsford 4H Beef Club began its year on Jan. 17, starting with voting in its executive committee.

President is Brandon Benson, vice-president is Jeremy Gill, treasurer is Brooklyn Nielsen and secretary is Julia Klassen.

Tyson Thiele was named club reporter and Billy Paul was named safety officer, while Elijah Goerzen and Carter Federsptel were placed in charge of the scrapbook.

Junior proficiency exams were written by Jenna Nielsen and Lyla Dorko. Both are now new senior members.

The club held 4H speeches on Feb. 21. Caden Frank placed first with his speech, How to Bike in the Yukon.

Tyson Thiele was second with his speech, The Beaver. Both now move onto the districts.

The Abbotsford 4H Beef Club consists of members from Langley, Aldergrove, Abbotsford and Chilliwack.
