Four Abbotsford-based charities have received a total of $70,000 in grants from the Fraser Valley Realtors Charitable Foundation (FVRCF).

The foundation recently presented a total of $340,000 grants to 22 organizations across the Fraser Valley to support at-risk youth.

The charities were selected based on their work with young people facing significant barriers, including those related to poverty, mental-health issues, and a lack of access to resources and opportunities.

The latest round of funding brings the total the FVRCF has distributed in two years to more than $530,000.

The Abbotsford charities receiving the grants are:

• Cyrus Centre – $15,000;

• BeMorr Society – $20,000;

• Cares Counselling Society – $20,000; and

• Communitas Supportive Care Society – $15,000.
