The 2016 Total Makeover Challenge is now underway.

The challenge, presented by Shape Your World Society, is held in three segments.

The first segment, running Jan. 19 to Feb. 23, involves 30 women taking part in the fitness, health and beauty makeover challenge.

At the end of the segment, the public is invited to vote online for their favourite challenger, with public and sponsor voting counting as 50 per cent of the value for choosing the next round of challengers.

The other 50 per cent is based on weight loss, inch loss, program participation, attitude, leadership and other mini challenges.

The top 15 challengers will be announced on March 5, and will advance to the second segment.

This portion runs until April 5 and is followed by online voting and the announcement of the five finalists on April 12.

The third segment takes place until May 10, when the winner will be chosen.

The winner receives a getaway trip for two, a gym membership and a photo shoot with hair and makeup.

The 30 women selected for the Total Makeover Challenge are: Tianna Armstrong, Candace Bernier, Dana Chandler, Ashley Collins, Jade Nicole Cross, Patricia Dreissen, Brenda Dvorak, Roxanne Elgood, Eeron Gartley, Samantha Guenther, Karen Gurney-Corba, Dawn Hawke, Ashley Hayes, Crystal Holek, Tara Hultin, Teresa Jn Paul, Nicole Joseph, Cecile Keyes, Kerry Ann Kurpiela, Malonie Langthorne, Jennifer Lemishka, Edana McQuade, Amparo Paterson, Abigail Pegg, Shal Prasad, Janet Scholten, Paula Sharpe, Jodi Shaw, Somkith Syhavong and Laura Varney.
