Sevenoaks Shopping Centre has won a silver award at the International Council of Shopping Centres Maple Leaf Awards in the advertising category, for the campaign Project Happy.
The advertising category recognizes strategic communications that advertise a shopping centre or company to its target market. Project Happy was developed as a result of a research study and the need to re-brand the centre. The new branding campaign, targeted at females and families, was upbeat and featured fun new imagery, designed to make those who visited Sevenoaks Shopping Centre happy.
Professional recognition for this program was given to Tricia Dumouchel, marketing director for Morguard Investments.
ICSC announced the winners during a ceremony at its Canadian convention in Toronto. In addition, all gold award winners are automatically entered to win ICSC’s VIVA Best of the Best Award. They will be presented during ICSC’s annual convention, RECon, taking place in May 2013 in Las Vegas.
