Wanson Development, a Vancouver-based company that owns and operates the Quality Inn Downtown Inner Harbour in Victoria, has purchased the Ramada Plaza and Conference Centre in Abbotsford.

The hotel will be rebranded as the Quality Hotel and Conference Centre – part of Choice Hotels Canada – beginning June 1.

The 116-room hotel has more than 24,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space.

Led by a new general manager, staffing at the property remains essentially unchanged. The conference centre will continue to feature the cuisine of Red Seal-certified executive chef Jonathan Stewart and his team of culinary experts.

“We are committed to providing the local community and travellers with the highest level of comfort and service. We have plans to refresh the rooms with a new look along with other improvements that will enhance the experience for business travellers,” says Wanson Development president Dominic Li.

The Wanson Group’s holdings include multi-family developments, property investments and management along with hospitality operations.
