The relationship was fostered as far back as 1997 when Helmut and Roswitha Mueller were travelling west, back to their home in 100 Mile House, from a trip spent in the big city of Vancouver. As they were driving into Abbotsford, in their Toyota Sienna mini van, they spotted the big sign of the Fraser Valley Auto Mall. As they approached the east bound exit and being the adventurous type of travellers, the Muellers made the quick decision to investigate the auto mall and take a break on the way home.
It did not take long for them to round the ‘loop‘ and discover a brand new Honda Odyssey, sitting in the west end of the mall at The Honda Way. The rest, as they say, is history!
Since the inaugural trip in 1997 and their purchase of the Odyssey, the Muellers have acquired 13 new Honda’s in Abbotsford, ranging from Ridgelines, Pilot’s and their new favorite, the CRV! As the family’s needs changed, their vehicles followed suit. Just this past week, they traded their 2012 CRV for a new 2015 model with all the new bells and whistles. This now makes their thirteenth consecutive Honda from The Honda Way!
Not stopping there, the Muellers have recommended The Honda Way to close friends after sharing their experience of ownership and satisfaction. As a result, the dealership has sold an additional 4 vehicles for a total of 17, through the Mueller endorsements!
Not bad for a tiny Honda store which started with grass roots and a small lot off of South Fraser Way in the late 80’s and making the strategic move to its present location.
“The vision and practicality of moving to a 44 acre site in the Fraser Valley Auto Mall with freeway visibility and access, was the stimulus and a factor to our relationship with the Mueller’s,” says Byron Hall, Dealer Principle at The Honda Way. “Without it, the Mueller’s may have passed us by!”
As Helmut states, “Our loyalties to The Honda Way started immediately after our initial purchase. Given we live 200 miles away, they always under promised and over delivered to our complete satisfaction! We knew immediately this was a dealership offering great value, employing professional and extremely helpful staff. The owners, Byron and his wife Lola, have become our friends over the years and when we bring in our vehicles for service and maintenance, we make a point of getting together with them! “

“It may seem like coincidence, but every time we bring our Honda to their store for regular maintenance, we seem to leave with a Lola Hall chocolate cake,” says Roswitha with glee!
