The manufacturer offers rebates on all the cabinet products it sells to the approximately 190 dealerships and 600 designers it has in the U.S. and Canada. Columbia is now allowing those rebates to be designated to the Red Cross, with the company doubling the amount.

The goal is to donate $10,000 by the end of April.

The company is now challenging other local businesses to support charities in a similar way.

Columbia’s fundraiser catch phrase is, “You haven’t lived life until you live it for someone else.”

During its 40 years in Abbotsford, Columbia Cabinets has previously supported projects in places such as Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, Bolivia, China and Fiji.
