Premier hopeful Christy Clark made the final stop on her provincial campaign in Abbotsford on Monday evening.

Clark spoke for nearly 10 minutes to a packed room of supporters, praising the quality of Liberal candidates in the Fraser Valley region.

“This is the best slate of candidates anybody has ever put forward in the Fraser Valley,” she said.

She then went on the offensive about NDP leader John Horgan, stating that he is all about today, while she is all about tomorrow and the future.

“The thing that John Horgan said that bothered me the most [in the debate] is when he said people don’t want to know in this election about what you’re going to do in the future, it’s all about today, tell us about today,” she recalled. “He’s so wrong, this election isn’t just about today, it’s about tomorrow and five years from now and 25 years from now.”

She also criticized his taxation plans. She claimed her party will freeze carbon and income taxes for BC residents, and will continue to create positive job growth in the province.
