Bio:
Cindy Schafer is an Abbotsford School Trustee and chair of the board. She serves on the Abbotsford Parks, Recreation & Culture Commission, Abbotsford Community Foundation Awards, Abbotsford School District Business Company, and Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) committee.
Schafer graduated from Langley Secondary and studied interior design at Douglas College. She owns and operates Schafer Design, an interior design consulting business that she established in 1988.
Before joining the school board, Schafer was a member and chair of the Abbotsford District Parents' Advisory Council, member of the Abbotsford Community Foundation Awards committee, and member of the finance committee for the BC School Trustees Association.
