Dr. Bill MacGregor is an Abbotsford city councillor.

MacGregor received a full athletic scholarship in football to Boise State in 1968. Following that, he moved closer to home to finish his undergraduate degree with another full athletic scholarship at Simon Fraser University. He was a fourth round draft pick for the BC Lions football team in 1973. He then earned his Masters in Education from Western Washington University in 1979, and his Doctorate of Education degree from Nova Southeastern University in 2000.

MacGregor retired after working as a teacher and administrator in education for 5 years in Vancouver and 28 in School District 34. Over the course of his career, he served on the faculty of Abbotsford Senior Secondary, Rick Hansen Secondary, Career Technical Centre, Abbotsford Collegiate, and the University of Phoenix, often as principal. He continues to work on a part time basis as an executive coach and advisor.

In the community, MacGregor has been coach of a B.C. high school championship team, founder/director/head coach of Abbotsford Air Force Jr. Football, chairman of the Matsqui/Abbotsford Impact Society, and chairman of the Abbotsford School District Impact Task Force.
