Bio:
Mike de Jong has been a BC Liberal MLA since 1994 â for five terms â and was a member of the Official Opposition until 2001 when Gordon Campbell's Liberals won the provincial election over the NDP.
He was named the Minister of Finance on Sept. 5, 2012. He has also served as Attorney General, Minister of Health, Minister of Public Safety, and Solicitor General, Minister of Aboriginal Relations, Minister of Labour, and Minister of Forests.
