The Port Moody Black Panthers rallied past the Abbotsford Pilots on Wednesday to claim a 2-1 lead in their second-round playoff series.

Adam Rossi's goal at 17:51 of the first period gave the Pilots the early advantage at Port Moody Arena. But the visitors were unable to get any more pucks past Panthers goalie Nicholas Taylor, despite a 30-22 edge in shots.

Port Moody took advantage, as Chris Stew and Maximilian Fiedler scored in the latter half of the third period to lift the Panthers to a 2-1 victory.

Games 4 and 5 of the series go at MSA Arena on Friday and Saturday. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. both nights.
