Mini-Hawks football camp scheduled

W.J. Mouat is holding a mini-Hawks football camp for their feeder schools later this month.

Chief Dan George and Colleen and Gordie Howe middle school students have an early opportunity to wear the red, white and yellow of the W.J. Mouat Hawks.

Hawks football is putting on a free mini-camp for all Grade 6 to 8 students from the pair of schools, giving youth the chance to learn and practise with Hawks coaches and players.

The three sessions run April 16, 23 and 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Mouat artificial turf field.

No experience is required, and there will be no contact. Kids interested in all positions are welcome, and organizers ask that attendees bring water and cleats.

Those interested can RSVP Hawks football coach Travis Bell at travis_bell@sd34.bc.ca. For more information, visit wjmouathawksfootball.com.
