Adam Hadwin heated up in South America last week to earn his second career Canadian Tour victory. The 23-year-old pro golfer from Abbotsford won the Pacific Colombia Tour Championship in Bogota, Columbia, finishing at 25 under par to crush the rest of the field by a six-stroke margin. The tournament was co-sanctioned by the Tour de las Americas and the Canadian Tour, and Hadwin earned $23,400 of the event's $130,000 US purse.“This win is huge," Hadwin told CanTour.com. "I just need take this momentum into the following weeks and just keep playing well.”Hadwin shot in the 60s all four rounds (66-66-62-69) en route to the victory. Chile’s Benjamín Alvarado and Argentina’s Tomás Argonz tied for second. Hadwin held a six-stroke lead heading into Sunday's final round, but Argonz quickly trimmed it to three after the Abbotsford golfer bogied the opening hole and parred the next five. But Hadwin birdied seven and eight to get his confidence back, and went on to birdie the two par-five holes on the back nine. "I needed to step up," Hadwin said. "I got a couple of late birdies on the front and then played really solid golf on the back, making the birdies when I needed to."
