Abbotsford golfers Adam Hadwin and Nick Taylor got off to solid starts to the Web.com Tour season, both making the cut at a rain-soaked tournament in South America.

The final round of the Pacific Rubiales Colombia Championship in Bogota was washed out due to rain, leaving Hadwin tied for eighth place at eight under par, by virtue of rounds of 69, 71 and 66.

It's a terrific result for Hadwin, who notched just two top-10 finishes on the Web.com Tour last season, but is already halfway there after one tourney in 2014. He earned $19,500.

Taylor, making his debut as a Web.com Tour regular after a stellar 2013 PGA Tour Canada campaign, made the cut with matching even-par rounds of 71 and finished up with a three-under 68. That left him tied for 41st, earning $2,775.

The next event on the Web.com Tour schedule is the Chile Classic in Santiago, March 6-9.
