Gough slides to seventh in Germany

Abbotsford's Amy Gough finished seventh at a World Cup skeleton race in Germany.

Abbotsford skeleton slider Amy Gough turned in a seventh-place finish at a World Cup stop in Alterberg, Germany on Friday.

Gough was within striking distance of her second podium finish of the season after wrapping up the first run in second place overall, but she slid down to seventh following the second run. She clocked a combined time of 2:00.66, just eight hundredths of a second behind teammate Mellisa Hollingsworth, who finished sixth.

Gough currently sits in sixth place in the World Cup rankings with 810 points.
