The second-place Victoria club (4-1) showcased a powerful offence, exploding for eight tries against the Abby side. The hosts got tries from Mark Adams, Kurtis Appeldoorn and Ryan McWhinney, as well as a convert and penalty kick courtesy Shea Bourquin.

Abbotsford (0-5) finds itself at the bottom of the Premier League standings, and needs a win at home against Burnaby Lake (0-4-1) on Saturday to keep its playoff hopes alive. The game kicks off at 2:45 p.m. at Exhibition Park.

In other action, the Abby Div. 1 men dropped a hard-fought 39-34 decision to the Castaway Wanderers, while the Div. 3 side trounced Surrey 41-17 behind a pair of tries by Patrick Shields.

The Abbotsford women beat SFU 31-10, with Jerusha Dunsmore scoring two tries.
