The wins keep coming for the Abbotsford Pilots, as the Pacific Junior Hockey League club picked up two more victories on Friday and Saturday.

The Pilots hosted the Grandview Steelers at MSA Arena on Friday, and scored four unanswered goals over the first two periods to cruise to a 7-3 win.

Baylee Wright and Jamie Housch tallied in the first period, with Cameron Obcena and Tyler Wickman adding goals in the second to put Abbotsford up 4-0 by the mid-way point of the game.

The Steelers got on the board at 10:14 of the second period, but just over a minute later Noah Wiebe made it 5-1.

Grandview added another goal to close out the period.

Wright scored his second and third goals of the game in the third period, with Grandview adding a goal in between his markers.

Gunnar Neilsen made 29 saves in the victory to record his ninth win on the season. Wright, who continues to lead the PJHL in scoring, had a five-point night.

The Pilots travelled to North Vancouver to battle the Wolf Pack the next night, and again had a hot start by jumping out to a 2-0 lead after one.

Mateo Toledo and Alexander Methorst put the Pilots ahead, but the Wolf Pack replied with three unanswered goals in the second period to lead 3-2 after 40 minutes.

Abbotsford stormed back in the third, coming back with three unanswered goals of their own to earn the 5-3 win. Wright, Toledo and Wiebe scored goals to lead the Pilots to victory. Neilsen made 24 saves for the win.

The Pilots remained atop the Harold Brittain conference after the weekend, and now have a record of 12 wins, three losses and two overtime losses.

Next up for the Pilots is a big home-and-home series with the second-place Ridge Meadows Flames, who sit just two points back of Abbotsford. The clubs play in Maple Ridge on Friday and then Abbotsford on Saturday. Faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
