Ravens hoopsters win gold

The Eugene Reimer Ravens Grade 8 boys basketball team won gold at a tournament at Langley's H.D. Stafford Middle School last week.

The Ravens beat Archbishop Carney 39-26 in their opener, with Bobby Narang the top scorer with nine points and Joven Gill picking up player of the game honours. Up next, Reimer knocked off the host Stafford Skyhawks 48-7. Gill led the scoring charge with nine points and Rohit Dhillon was player of the game.

The Ravens faced Stafford again in the final, after the hosts battled through the back side of the draw to get there. The Abbotsford team won 37-25 behind 11 points from Gill, and Josh Dhillon was player of the game.
