Island foes sink Bearcat hoopsters
The Columbia Bible College basketball teams wrapped up their first-semester schedule by dropping four road games on Vancouver Island last weekend.
The Bearcats men head into the break with a 2-6 record in PacWest regular season play. They fell 77-64 to the second-place Vancouver Island University Mariners on Friday, and suffered a 105-88 defeat at the hands of the Camosun Chargers on Saturday.
The CBC women (0-8) are still looking for their first win after losing 67-41 at VIU and 71-35 at Camosun.
The Bearcats hoopsters return to PacWest regular season action on Friday, Jan. 4 when they host the Kwantlen Eagles at Columbia Place (women 6 p.m., men 8 p.m.).
