Taylor comes up short at second Q-School stage
Abbotsford golfer Nick Taylor got off to a promising start at the second round of PGA Tour Q-School last week, only to fall short in the end.
Taylor, playing at Bear Creek Golf Club in Murrieta, Calif., got to six-under through two rounds, carding scores of 71 and 67. But he struggled down the stretch, finishing up with rounds of 76 and 77.
Taylor ended up tied for 46th at three over par, while the top 19 plus ties moved on to the third and final Q-School stage.
That event runs Nov. 28-Dec. 3 at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif., and Abbotsford's Adam Hadwin will be there. He earned a direct berth to the final stage by virtue of his top-40 finish on the Web.com Tour money list.
