Former NHLer Dean McAmmond (left) was among the participants in the Hockey Marathon of Hope, held Sept. 8 at Centre Ice. Vancouver Canucks alum Cliff Ronning was also in attendance, and 64 players, 40 volunteers and an estimated 800 donors combined to raise over $63,000 for a pair of locally based charities, the Imani Orphan Care Foundation and Doing Family Right.
