Cardinals 2-2 on Vancouver Island
The Abbotsford Cardinals PBL hardball team split a pair of doubleheaders on Vancouver Island on the weekend.
Saturday they lost 8-6 and won 4-2 against the Parksville Royals. Riley Salter had a big game at the plate in the six-run outburst, going three-for-four with a double and scoring a run.
Sunday they beat the Nanaimo Pirates 4-2 as Kurtis Kostuk pitched a complete game three hitter, but lost a game 1-0 despite a great outing by pitcher Dan Koo.
Tonight they take on the North Delta Blue Jays at 7 p.m. at DeLair Park.
