Samwel Uko of the Abbotsford Falcons broke loose for a long run during the community football club’s home opener on Saturday at Rotary Stadium. Both local peewee squads were victorious –Uko’s Abby Black beat Meadow Ridge Gold 26-0, while Abby White blanked Mission 30-0. In other action, the Falcons atoms lost 32-27 to Meadow Ridge Gold, while the bantams fell 14-12 to North Langley and the junior bantams lost 11-8 to Meadow Ridge. - John Morrow
