Exorbitant wages
Re: Exorbitant municipal wages and pensions.
Who is responsible for them? We, the taxpayers.
Last election, almost the entire “old gang” of councillors were voted back in. By whom? By us, the Abbotsford taxpayers.
Come next election, let’s only vote for candidates who give a public promise to have the golden parachute pensions rescinded. Make pensions and wages commensurate with pension contributions, dollar for dollar, and only for the time the officials served in office, not a lifelong pension for a mere four, six or more years in office.
