Goose control program cruel
Recently in our local park, a couple with two blonde-coloured dogs have been terrorizing the wildlife.
They say they are licensed as part of the city’s “Goose Control Program.”
Their dogs chase anything that moves. Since their appearance we have noticed an increase in ducks with broken legs or injured wings.
Is the plan of the program to cause pain and suffering to defenceless wildlife?
Those dogs do not come when called, and intimidate smaller dogs who are on a leash as required. Do the owners pick up after them? Guess again!
I feel the city should revisit this program – animal cruelty is not acceptable... period.
