In defence of Abbotsford hospital
I, too, was upset to read Elly Rhoades’ letter regarding our Abbotsford Hospital.
It is a beautiful, modern, up-to-date facility. I felt reading Ms. Rhoades letter she got excellent care, and the staff tried their utmost to accommodate her during her visit. I think we Canadians have been spoiled, don’t realize how fortunate we are, and tend to take our health care system for granted.
Various members of my family have dealt with some serious medical issues over the last few years, and received the best care.
I have been dealing with cancer over the last 5 1/2-years – the last two at our own Abbotsford Cancer Centre. I could not have received better care anywhere else.
I would personally like to thank all the staff at our cancer centre and the rest of the hospital staff from the volunteers, laboratory staff and X-ray staff for being such caring and sincere people. Thank you!
