LETTER: What about rights of the victims?

So, Matt Johnston and Cody Haevischer feel that they’ve been mistreated while in custody? Poor babies!

So, Matt Johnston and Cody Haevischer feel that they’ve been mistreated while in custody? Poor babies!

So, they were kept in solitary confinement too long? How sad! At least they are still breathing; that’s more than can be said for their innocent victims.

So, Johnston had no one to speak to, no human contact, so he had to talk to himself or sing to himself?

Their victims haven’t been able to do that ever since they were shot!

So, he wasn’t allowed to speak to his 12-year-old daughter for two months? That’s terrible! His victims have been permanently silenced by his actions.

So, their charter rights have been violated? How about the rights of their victims and their families? Now they seek unspecified damages from the B.C. taxpayers?

It’s high time they sat down in front of a mirror and had a long, hard talk with themselves and realize the irreparable damage they’ve done to their innocent victims.
