I was pleased to see that the Christian Heritage Party is running candidates in Abbotsford in the provincial election. I have never voted for this party, but may do so this time.
As a Christian, I do not expect governments to promote or support the Christian faith or the Christian church. That is not their job, and it would be harmful to the Christian faith.
I expect governments to be neutral.
However, in my view, the other parties are not neutral. Increasingly, they seem to be taking approaches that marginalize Christian involvement in public life and undermine Christian faith.
For that reason, it would be helpful for Christians to have someone speaking up for them.
