LETTER: Not enough police presence in Abbotsford

Every driver in Abbotsford is aware of this and do as they please, speeding, using their cell phone, and dangerous driving.

I have just read several article on cell phones in cars being used while driving. There seems to be many questions as to why this happens. As a passenger, pedestrian and transit user I have an answer that I believe that everyone would agree with. For the past 10 years there has been absolutely minimum police presence on Abbotsford streets. The only time they are out in force is when there is a push on for cell phones and seat belts. This seems to happen every few months.

Every driver in Abbotsford is aware of this and do as they please, speeding, using their cell phone, and dangerous driving.

There are 217+ police officers, 100+civilian, and 80 volunteers, and none of them in sight. This is your answer.
