Am I in favour of community mailboxes vis-a-vis door-to-door delivery? Absolutely not!
Those now assuming the helm of our national mail service have betrayed their trust. Laying aside all thought of “inconvenience” to customers, as has been frequently demonstrated, community mailboxes do not, and cannot, guarantee security.
Canada Post’s original credo: “The mail must get through” by which it once honourably operated, has been tossed aside like a dirty shirt. Responsibility has been abrogated, and I for one, am angry. Personally, I would love to see a class-action suit launched.
