Walter, of Abbotsford, B.C., while at home and after an 8 month struggle with cancer, passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord on September 6, 2004.
Walter is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Helene, of 53 years, children Tillie (Dennis), Alf (Betty), Charlotte (Peter), Harold (Shelley), grandchildren Andrew, Allan Angela, Gabe, Jordan, Marcus, Daniel, Samuel, Debrah, James. Walter will be dearly missed by his siblings Peter (Frieda), Susie Werschler, Paul (Katie) and Nettie (Harry) Giesbrecht. Also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held at Bakerview MB Church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Monday, September 13, 2004. Graveside service will follow at 10:30 am at Maclure Road Cemetery, 33965 Maclure Road, Abbotsford. A memorial service will be held 12:00 noon at Bakerview MB Church 2285 Clearbrook Road, Abbotsford, B.C. Pastors Henry Thiessen, Ray Harris and Michael Dick officiating.
