FRIESEN, Walter. Walter Friesen passed away on February 8, 2012 at the Langley Hospice. He was born on July 10, 1940 at Swalwell, Alberta. He married Irma Giesbrecht on June 30, 1961; she passed away on June 9, 1993. He married Joyce Barkman on October 29, 1994. Walter was a professional truck driver for over 50 years. He was a loyal member of the Church of God in Christ Mennonite in Abbotsford. Walter is survived by his wife Joyce, two daughters Valerie Friesen of Warman, Saskatchewan, Lucille, (Brendan) Reimer of Hillsboro, Kansas, one brother Claude Friesen and his wife Ruth of Abbotsford, two sisters Margaret, (Allen) Jantz of Winton, California, Elaine, (Doug) Regehr of Armstrong, BC, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, also other extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his oldest sister Mary and his youngest brother Allen. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 7-8:30 p.m. at the Church of God in Christ Mennonite, 29623 Downes Road, Abbotsford. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. from the Church of God in Christ Mennonite.
