Andrews, Vivien J.

(1939-2008)

It is with rejoicing and sadness that we say goodbye to Vivien J. Andrews, who left our presence to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on May 24, 2008 at MSA Hospital. She joins her loving husband of 51 years, Keith Andrews who passed away on February 3, 2008.

Vivien leaves behind a devoted family of 4 children and spouses: Rick (Teresa), Terry (Alden Abraham), Lonny (Heather), Sandy (Sohan Pooni); 9 grandchildren, Jeremy, Christopher, Jenna, Jennifer, Julie, Louis, Kristina, Kimberly, Neesha; and 2 great grandchildren, Bryce and Lauren.

Vivien was born in Selkirk, Manitoba on February 28, 1939, the only child of Johann and Julie Vogen. She grew up in Selkirk where she met and married Harold Keith Andrews at the age of 17. Together they raised 4 children and eventually settled in the Fraser Valley. Vivien had many occupations throughout her life including hairdressing, bookkeeping, teaching, catering, but her passion and primary role was always that of a mother. She enjoyed reading, studying, travelling, fishing, crafts and entertaining. She thoughtfully devoted much of her life to simple acts of kindness and words of encouragement. Vivien had a bold and active faith in the Lord Jesus, serving in various church ministries. She leaves a legacy of joy and loving.

A celebration of Vivien’s life will take place on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 11:00am at Northview Community Church.

In Lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Cyrus Centre.

The family wishes to express gratitude to all of Vivien’s care givers at MSA hospital.
