Vernon LITTLE

Vernon Duncan “Dunc” Little passed away quietly at his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at the age of 64. He was born in Vancouver on May 22, 1942 and grew up in the Deep Cove, North Vancouver area, moving to Abbotsford with his family in 1977. Dunc is survived by his wife Carol (Clarke); daughters Andrea DeMeyer (husband Brett), Erica Little; grandsons Ryan Hay and Liam Burrows; stepson Chris Peters; mother Joyce Little of North Vancouver and sister Lynda Little. He was predeceased by his father Vernon.

Dunc was involved in all aspects of community life. As a Chartered Accountant he was partner in many firms, retiring in June 2006 from MNP. His love of sports was always evident from the early years of rugby, football, baseball, boating, skiing, and especially hockey and most recently golf. He was an enthusiastic supporter, coach and referee for his daughters’ softball and ­ringette teams. Always an advocate for the Abbotsford community, Dunc served on the executive of many Community service clubs or committees such as the Rotary Club, Airshow, Western Games, Abbotsford Foundation, UCFV Foundation Board and the Conservatives Party of Canada.

There will be a memorial service held on Friday, February 2, 2007 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Cascade Community Church, at 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford.
