JOHNSON, Tim E.

Tim Johnson, Fort Langley resident, lost his life to acute leukemia March 23, 2010 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife Judy and daughter Janelle. Both were able to be with him at home during his four-month illness. His only brother Brad and niece live in Montana. Until retirement Tim and partner, Don Rieder, owned and operated Schols Cedar Products Ltd. in Abbotsford. Previous to that he and his wife were partners in Johnson Accounting Services, Abbotsford. He spent a number of years with National Homes Ltd. as Sales Manager. His original education was as a secondary school science teacher, teaching chemistry at Fort St. John SS.

Prior to coming to Canada in 1966 he and his wife and daughter lived in Montana. Tim was in the process of becoming a Canadian citizen with his appointment for verification scheduled in mid-April. He had led a very happy life in Canada and wanted to be a part of it. He had numerous passions - his most current being tennis. He enjoyed water sports, horseback riding, flying an airplane, and being with friends. In Montana he rode saddle broncs in the amateur rodeo circuit. Life was never dull for him. His favorite guide to life was the Desiderata, "Go placidly amid the noise and haste…". There will be a Celebration of Life in the future.
