Thomas. The first child of Thomas McArthur and Mary Burns, Thomas was born October 4th, 1929 in Glasgow, Scotland and died on July 30, 2006 in Abbotsford, British Columbia. He was predeceased by this father and stepmother, Thomas and Ida McArthur, and his mother and stepfather Mary Burns McNally and Anthony McNally. He survived by his loving wife, Rita and his daughters Jennifer and Christine McArthur as well as by his son, Anthony Cole; by this sister Theresa McArthur Mulligan, his brother Gerarde McArthur (Helen) and James McArthur (Barbara); his nephews Gerarde, Michael and Anthony McArthur and their families; his nephews Hamish McArthur and his niece Kelly McArthur; many other relations and friends both in Scotland and Canada.
Thomas, having done national service in Britain after the Second World War, was always interested in the welfare of veterans, some of whom he saw regularly at the Royal Canadian Legion. His lifelong passion with music, especially jazz, and he and his family made music together throughout their whole lives.
