Thelma Louise Smith, age 91, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2005. Beloved wife of William Ramsey Smith for 70 years; mother of Judith Dalgarno of Vernon, BC, and Brian Smith (Franca) of Toronto, ON; grandmother to Gordon and Garry Dalgarno and Ramsey, Montana, and Sterling Smith. Thelma was predeceased by her caring son-in-law Paul Dalgarno.
Born in Edmonton, AB, Thelma worked from age 16 to 65 for Woodwards Stores in Edmonton, Vancouver, and Penticton.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Henderson’s Funeral Home, 34537 Marshall Road, Abbotsford with Rev. James Wagner officiating. Visitation will be prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Thelma’s memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
